analog::blocks Power Modules

Power Modules provide flexible supply options for analog::blocks circuits. Power can be supplied by the Baseboard or generated by a Power Module and fed into the system.

Isolated USB to +-12 V Power Module

The isolated USB Bipolar DC/DC Power Module generates positive and negative analog supply rails directly from a 5 V USB source. Different DC/DC converters can be fitted to provide ±9 V, ±12 V or ±15 V, allowing the supply voltage to be adapted to the application.

The module can power the analog::blocks Baseboard or be used independently with prototype boards and breadboards.

Isolated USB to ±30 V Power Module

The isolated USB to ±30 V DC/DC Module generates a bipolar auxiliary supply directly from a 5 V USB source.

The ±30 V output is connected to the analog::blocks +PWR and −PWR rails and provides up to 2 W total output power for high-voltage analog circuits.

USB to+5 V Power Module

The USB to +5 V Power Module supplies the analog::blocks +5 V rail directly from a standard USB port. It provides a simple power source for digital circuits and other modules requiring a 5 V supply without additional voltage conversion.

12 V Power & DC/DC Module

The 12 V Power & DC/DC Module allows an external 12 V supply of up to 1 A to be connected directly to the analog::blocks power rails. If a negative supply voltage is required, an optional DC/DC converter can be fitted to generate the negative rail.

The replaceable DC/DC converter position also provides a convenient way to evaluate and compare different converter types, output voltages and noise performance within an actual analog circuit.

±12 V to ±5 V Linear Regulator Module

The ±12 V to ±5 V Linear Regulator Module uses 78L05 and 79L05 regulators to generate the ±5 V supply rails from the existing ±12 V supply, eliminating the need for a separate ±5 V power source.

When fitted with stacking headers, another Power Module can be mounted on top of the regulator module without occupying an additional Base Board position.
